Porsche adds S Hybrid to Panamera 4-door line for $95,000

If you played any word association game in the automotive gendre, are the two words most unlikely to evoke responses "Porsche" and "fuel efficiency"? Yet, that's what the folks at Porsche claim when its new Panamera S Hybrid will go on sale in the state later this year for $95,000 as the most fuel efficient Porsche of all time


Jeep Grand Cherokee clinches 2011 NEMPA “Official Winter Vehicle of New England” award

After months of evaluation and one full day of deliberation, the members of the New England Motor Press Association have given the new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee their nod as the "Official Winter Vehicle of New England." Other big winners include the new Ford Explorer, GMC Sierra 2500HD, Volvo XC60, Infiniti QX56, Dodge Charger, Subaru Forester, Hyundai Tuscon, Range Rover HSE, Mercedes-Benz E350 Wagon, and BMW 7-Series.

Last week I was able to attend media days at the 2011 North American International Auto Show. This was my third consecutive trip to the show in as many years and things were looking up compared to the past. Booths were more complicated, automaker displays were more flashy, and real cars were being introduced for real consumers. I'll be writing up more on my auto show impressions soon. Inside the amazing General Motors Heritage Center [HD]

General Motors has been around for over 100 years. During that time the company has produced many different varieties of cars, trucks, concepts, and one of a kind modes of transportation. Along the way, the company made sure to set aside the rarest, most unique, and most popular of it's vehicles to preserve for generations to come. These vehicles, over 400 total, sit inside a rather nondescript warehouse just outside of Detroit. It's called the GM Heritage Center and it's probably the coolest place you'll never get to visit
