09 CTS-V SAE Certified At 556 Horsepower

Just when you thought the 2009 CTS-V just may be the most amazing sedan ever conceived- GM has gotten offical certification of the fact. The newest V isn't just awesome, it's 556 SAE-certified horsepower awesome. As the 09 CTS-V enters final testing, here's what we know so far: - 556-horsepower @ 6,100rpm and 551 lb-ft @ 3,800rpm - 0-60 in an estimated 3.9 seconds - 1/4 Mile in 12 seconds at 118-mph This could very well be the fastest production sedan ever. With Magnetic Ride Control it stands to handle impressively as well, as seen on the recent video of the CTS-V lapping thew Nordschleife in 7:59.32 on May 8th . Cadillac is openly stating their intention of selling the CTS-V as wildly capable luxury machine with incredible performance. With these numbers we'd also like to tack on "substitute for visit to chiropractor". This is going to be one hell of a machine and we can't wait to drive it.
