When crumple zones go wrong

We often take for granted that our vehicles will protect us in a crash.  US government regulation ensures that at the very least we won't be caught up in a death trap. It seems in China (?) at least- this is not the case. Just take a look at this video showing the results from a crash test of a truck. It gives the term "crumple zone" a whole new meaning.

Update:
All the doom and gloom may not be so bad afterall. Here's another video giving more explnation to the disasterous results in the first. Even if the all the crunch isn't a real test- it's still sobering to see what could happen in the right circumstances.
