Ford is bringing the always snazzy Employee Pricing marketing gimmick back to life. This time with truck sales falling flat on their face, the offer is good for any 2008 F-Series truck except for Harley Davidson and chassis cab models. We're not sure if this will help encourage anyone to buy a vehicle that will drain their wallet to fuel. The flip side of this is that an F-250 would be a great moving vehicle.

BMW Announces Mid-Year Price Increase

BMW announced today that it has implemented a modest mid-year price increase of less than one percent for its 2008 product line, effective as of June 1. This is the first price increase in over one year despite continually rising raw materials costs and ongoing exchange rate pressure. Minor increases have also been made to selected options/packages, as well as the vehicle destination charge.

GM Announces Closings of Four Truck and SUV Plants

General Motors announced today their intentions to close four truck/suv plants due to a decline in sales. GM's Oshawa, Moraine, Janesville, and Toluca locations will cease production by 2010 or sooner if demand continues to drop. In addition to the closings, the Pontiac and Flint plants will also have shifts removed to cut production.
