US Automotive Sales Slide In December

December may be one of the busiest shopping months of the year, but it didn’t help US automotive sales from posting sharp drops in sales over December 2007.

Not all December sales figures have been reported, but here’s what we know so far. The biggest loser looks to be Chrysler with December sales down a staggering 53% over last year.

The bright spot that most of the media is ignoring is that many of the automakers posted an actual increase in sales from November to December. Here’s for hoping that trend continues.
