James Glickenhaus Takes Delivery Of First US Alpha 8C Competizione

The very first Alpha 8C Competizione in North America was handed over to its owner last Wednesday. Who’s the lucky rich guy? James Glickenhaus- the famed writer/director and exotic car collector.  Glickenhaus directed Jackie Chan’s second film, “The Protector” in 1985

The official delivery “ceremony” took place at Miller Motorcars in Greenwitch, CT.  Only 84 more will make it to the US out of the 500 Alpha plans to make.

The 8C Competizione is powered by a Ferrari-derived 4.7L V8 that pumps out 450-horsepower through a 6-speed robotized gearbox.  It’s frame is the same that you’d find under a Maserati Gran Turismo.  Needless to say, the 8C comes from a seriously exotic and performance rooted family.
